AND THATS IF crosshair software/stickers are bannable. Even then, they cant ban you unless they can prove that you played SoT with that crosshair sticker. However, a crosshair overlay would be hard to detect, and one painted on your monitor would be impossible to detect unless a rare employee walked into your room and saw your monitor. 99% hooking into a program, outside of video capture, is almost always malicious.ĭo what you want. Now, if it 'touches' the game in any way, beyond game capturing, which requires hooks into the game, then they can see it. Rare cant ban you if you physically mark a crosshair on your screen, or with your software, because there is no way for them to know or see it. Rare has said, in emails to me, that macros are A-OK. But its something anyone can do.ĭoes it hook into the game anyway? Like check its memory, or give you a true software edge? No. That's all it does.ĭoes it give you an advantage? In a way, yes. All it does, is mark something on the screen.
